Here are some great opportunities for children and young people this summer…

Look out for more details of our Summer programmes for children and young people in Ballyloughan, including Summer Mix, Power Up (20th - 22nd August), and Charge Up (27th - 29th August). Also if you’re in school year 11 (4th year!) up, watch out for details of an opportunity to to be part of a week long team serving in our local community (18th - 22nd August).

Christians in Sport Camps

Sports Plus camps are week long residential sports camps for young people of secondary school age with specialist sports coaching and team competitions for young people who are serious about sport and play regularly in a club or team. Sports Plus is the perfect way to improve in your sport, while exploring more about the Christian faith and what it means to be a Christian sports player.

Scripture Union Camps

There are over 20 camps to choose from for children (usually P5 up) and young people.  Each camp offers an amazing opportunity to get away with friends or family and all with something different to offer. From camping in the dunes to bouldering in the Mournes, from creative games and crafts to sports and team games, there is something for everyone to get stuck into.

Scripture Union Missions

SU Missions offer a great opportunity for young people (age 17+) to serve for one week or two weeks over the summer. Whether it’s in a church hall or on the beach (or something in between!), SU missions provide amazing spaces for children and young people to come together and learn more about God.

Bookings open from the 30th January for children and young people to register for camps and missions. You need to be 17 years old to volunteer, applications to volunteer usually close in March.

SMMR FEST

SMMR Fest is a joint venture run by churches in the local area. It’s a week of activities for young people of secondary school age and opportunity to go deeper in your faith, running this year from 11-15th August. For more info head to the SMMR Fest Facebook page.
